Life in Navi Mumbai
I have been staying in Navi Mumbai from 1997. There had been lot of development in this city in last few years. I actually love this city for its open & clean environment, peacefulness, cosmopolitan culture & various other facilities. As this city is directly connected with Mumbai, it provides all the advantage of staying in some metropolitan city. This city has been developed in much planned way. You can find here wide roads, ample of parking space, many gardens, shopping malls, multiplexes, 3 stars hotels, restaurants, clubs, entertainment joints etc. On the local railway tracks Thane to Vashi and Vashi to Panvel there are numbers of railways stations and all the stations are developed very nicely while Vashi station is one of the places to visit here. I am originally from a small town and being in this city I normally don’t miss my life style of a small town as the life is not fast like Mumbai here. I have been working in Navi Mumbai only and my office is just few minutes drive from my home. I can afford to travel by my own car as there is no traffic jam and parking problem.
When I start my day I sometime go to mini seashore for morning outing, which is at 10 minutes drive from my place. This place is at sea shore, which has pond, green garden & jogging track spread in quite large area. You can find people doing different nice things in the morning like jogging, walking, yoga, work out, playing, giving water to trees and plants. There is also a laughter club, few lawn tennis courts, cricket ground etc. Visiting this place provides peace and freshness. There are few other nice places for morning outing but I find this place best one. My office is 5 minutes away from my home and there I spent my most of the time but on 2 days long weekend I get good time to spend with family. On family outing one normally can visit shopping malls as there are number of nice malls and few of them have bowling alley and games zone and he can watch movie in some multiplexes or can watch live drama/Natak. For dinner there are many options of veg and non veg restaurants. For vegetarian Bhagat Tarachand is the best place and for classic drinks & dinner along with live Gajals one should visit Shikara restaurant. There is normally no official pub in this city but one can have a feel of pub in few places like Ice n Spice, Sports Bar, Tunga Regency and few places in Belapur. Khandala & Lonawla hill stations are connsected to Navi Mumbai thru express highway and are at 1 hour smooth drive. During raining season it is nice to drive these hill stations and spend a day out in green and pleasant climate along with water falls & clouds. Other nearest freak out places, which can be visited in one day only are Matheran, Marshej Ghat, Alibaug, Karnala Bird century park, Shangrila resort & water park, Tikku ji Wadi etc. Even on weekend one can visit Mumbai and places around it as there is no much traffic during weekend and even local trains are normally not crowded
